IB(I) vs B2(I)
What seemed like a clash of titans was initially proving out to be a dud, as the ball kept exchanging legs. The monotony was finally broken when a comedy of errors saw Chatterjee opening the account of IB. The match gathered steam as both the teams went on a hot pursuit for the ball but lady luck kept eluding both. The dying minutes witnessed what arguably was the goal of the tournament, a 50 yard free kick from Rahul sailed past the goalie and B2 got their equilizer. The 2nd half was almost the clone of 1st half as both teams on their toes making and saving chances played out the time. Game went into extra time. Nothing much happened until a cross from Rahul found a forward who found the net following a rebound off the goalie. It was a shot in the arm for the IB players who already looked preparing for the shootout. IB looked red hot on the field after that but was unable to convert any chances. The last minute saw drama straight out of the stables of K-soaps as a heated argument led to a penaly kick for IB, however all the good work was undone by a bad miss from Baiju and it was game over for them.
Result:B2(I) won 2-1
